Android.Counterclank is a minor modification of Android.Tonclank, a bot-like threat that can receive commands to carry out specific actions, as well as steal information from the device.

For each malicious application, the malicious code has been added on to the main application in a package called “apperhand”. When the package is executed, a service with the same name may be seen running on a compromised device.

Fortix II is a reverse turret defense game by Nemesys Games. You fight against the towers of each level and your aim is to conquer the castle on each level. To do this you can fence off parts of the playfield and spread your land against the "enemy's". You control Sir Fortix - the epic hero of our game - who is able to free the cursed land. You will face fearsome dragons, orks, turrets, magic towers and eventually the evil mage Xitrof himself.

Fortix II came out on PC in early 2011 and will be arriving on other platforms soon. There are plans to release versions on PSP, DS and iPhone very soon.

According to a recent study released by Nielsen of the 43% of Americans that own a smart phone 43% of those are using an Android phone. Apple comes in second at 28% and Blackberry at 18%.

What is interesting about these numbers is that although the number of people using a smartphone grew by 5% over the last 3 months the percentage of people using each type of phone remained the same.

I think it’s safe to say that Google has hit a home run with Android and we’ll be seeing a lot of interesting things from them in the future.

Business Insider reported this morning:

HP will kill off WebOS, its mobile operating system, the Guardian reports, citing internal HP sources.


WebOS staff will either be moved to a different division within HP or let go, the Guardian reports. There are currently about 500 people working on WebOS, but several high-level members of the division have recently left.


Most people speculated that HP would try to sell Palm off, but the Guardian's sources seem to think the entire division will be killed off instead.
